Hi friends + family...some FABULOUS news...one of our TFP couples has just announced that they are expecting a baby in the summer! Many, many congrats from all of us and we can't wait to welcome the new arrival into the TFP fold. Its a wonderful start to the year...

TFP OBAMA EVENT - 20 JAN 2009

Hello and welcome to The Family Project Event blog!

If you are one of the lovely people who came along to our Obama Inauguration event - THANK YOU - and we hope you enjoyed the afternoon/evening as much as we did.

It was such a joyous and greatly uplifting experience to watch the screening of Barack Obama being sworn into presidency, supported by his beautiful family. Wherever we are in the world today, this gives hope to all of us for our futures and our children's futures...

Well done to all who took part in the Obama quiz and the raffle - especially the lucky winners! Some great prizes were given out and we trust a good time was had by all.

A few to thank...Roachford - our 'secret' special guest! It was very gracious of Roachford to give us his time and to stage a wonderful impromptu performance. What a voice!! There's no doubt he left us wanting plenty more! Let's hope we see him again sometime in the future. Thanks again Roachford.

Thanks also to Jnay, the opera-singing sistas, and the wonderful DJs Arrow, Delroy P and Tony P who kept the vibe sweet from start to finish!

Barack Obama celebration Jan 20th

Where will you be on the day the first black president of the USA is inaugurated?

Tfp "The Family Project" presents a Stars and Stripes themed party to celebrate this historical occasion and invites you to cut work early and party with us at the hot new Fiesta bar (formerly Zed Bar) in Brixton's, Acre Lane on Tuesday 20 January from 4 till 12am

View the inauguration on big screens, buy half price drinks at happy hour from 5 til 9, dine on tapas or enjoy a full dining experience, with the opportunity to win quiz and raffle prizes of Champagne, meal for two or a photo shoot.

Music on the night provided by Tony P, Delroy P and guests, with special appearance by Comedian Slim and other amazing artists.

Tickets in advance are £5, £8 on the door or £7 if you wear something red, white or blue.
